Rather new to running, just over a year. Transferred from PG to LP. I have runner's knee right now, and am hopefully gonna be back to full strength by the end of August.

800-2:17 pg vs herriman dual meet

Short-Term Running Goals:

If i get back into shape with my knee well, I want to get under 16:45 by region. Indoor Track: Sub 4:45, 2:07, 10:40.

Outdoor Track: sub 4:40, 2:05, 10:20.

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Do lots of trialhalons, and make a name for myself in my community.

 

Personal:

16 year old junior at Lone Peak high school, love the mormon club games(ping-pong, air hockey, foosball, and pool), girls, mountain biking, swimming, basketball.

Okay, first I am going to need to apoligize because it has been YEARS since i have written on here. So I didn't run in the morning because I went to bed at 2 in the morning. I didn't want to go to practice today becasue I really wanted to do kick simulators for some reason. We usually do them with 1000's but I did them on my 800 course that I made near my house. My race times lately in races have been freakishly slow lately.  For some reason I can push myself alot harder when I do them by myself. My times were 2:23, 2:25, 2:28, 2:23, 2:19. We have a race on wednesday against lone peak. I am excited because I am moving into Lone Peak territory and I might be going to Lone Peak next year. I know that they were really good this past year but most of their fast guys are seniors. I am still deciding where to go. But if I do go to lone peak, I might just run by myself and not with their XC and track team. I can push myself harder by myself and I don't want to feel like a traitor to my team right now, Pleasant grove. I would just do some road races and maybe a couple of ragnars.

Last saturday I was supposed to run at the Tiger trials invitational in the 2 mile. I was going to try to get under 11:20. But I couldn't go because it was my sisters birthday and I would have been gone all day. I got to watch my mom and two of my little brothers run a 5K on saturday though! It made me mad that I couldn't run it because there weren't any serious runners there. I could have won it by at least 6 1/2 minutes. the fasteset time was 24:54.1!

I did my 5k course ethat I made up in the morning. time was 20:19.

Todays workout reminded me of what distance runner's used to do in like the fifties. Short and intense. We did 8 100's all out with 30 seconds break. my times were 13,15,13,15,13,15,12,16. The thirteens and twelves were with the wind at my back. The others it was right in my face. I was kind of mad when coach said that we were doing a workout on the track. That is because we usually have confession sessions the day before a dual meet( or on tuesday). I was disappointed. Oh yeah, we did a 800 warm up and cool down.

Today I had a dual meet against lone peak. It stunk and rocked I got 5:19 in the mile which I wasn't happy about it. During the race a bunch of girls from lone peak were yelling"Go Spencer"! Later, I went and talked to the girls. They seemed really nice and there were like 6 of them. 5 of them were pretty cute. They tried to convince me to go to Lone Peak next year. I also ran the 4x4. I did the second leg. whenever someone handed off the baton were supposed to yell something stupid. So I yelled "for narnia"! I handed it off to josh and he didn't even start to run until i had handed him the baton. So afterwards I almost faceplanted. Luckily, I only scraped up my knee. I got 63 seconds in the 400. The girl that is going to be in my ward came and asked me if I was okay, I said that I was fine. And it looked like she actually cared about me!

I ran 3.13 miles in the morning at a 8:30 pace
